Dr. Yepez delivers keynote speech for Chicago Park District Junior Citizen’s Award Dinner
I was honored today to be the keynote speaker for the Chicago Park District North Region 62nd Annual Junior Citizens Award Dinner.
An amazing group of of young finalists from the North region community parks were being honored for their academic and community achievements.
It was exciting and hopeful to see such a motivated group of young adults and more importantly to here how early on they had been involved in the park district programs! For some families, having programs available at the parks along with the counselors and coaches can make such an impact for young kids…it becomes like a second home to them.
